Alumni Activities

Alumnus is a Latin word meaning ”nursling” or ”pupil”. All who have completed a higher education degree at Tampere University of Applied Sciences, or who have worked there, may register themselves as alumni of Tampere University of Applied Sciences.  The alumni form TAMK’s largest interest group, and are important supporters.

The aim of alumni activities is to maintain close contacts with working life through the graduates of Tampere University of Applied Sciences who are employed or running their own companies. Feedback given by alumni helps TAMK in developing the degree programme curricula to respond to the rapidly changing needs of working life.

Alumni activities support the motivation of students, as well as their recruitment into working life. At the same time, alumni themselves benefit from on-going involvement with TAMK.  They are informed of further and continuing education opportunities, and all the diverse events arranged by TAMK.
