Working Life Collaboration
TAMK curricula are devised based on the identified needs and aims of working life and business life. TAMK also carries out applied research and development which serves the teaching, the working life and the economic development of the region.
The students carry out projects for businesses and organisations in working life during their studies. Almost all degree programmes require students to do a period of practical training, which is carried out in organisations operating in the field of study, and which familiarise the students with the practices of working life.
The employees in the Tampere region can also benefit from this, as TAMK students are young and innovative with good professional competences. Most of the final theses are done for various companies and organisations working in the fields studied at TAMK. This facilitates the students’ entrance into working life and offers the employees a skilled professional to carry out a specific task.
