Eligibility
Language skills requirements
Finnish citizens do not need English language certificate; these applicants will be tested by TAMK.
In order to prove the English language skills, applicant must provide one of the following English language certificates/qualifications:The official notarised certificate copies must be delivered to TAMK admissions office by the end of the application period. All applicants who have sent the compulsory pre-task and demonstrated their eligibility and language skills, will be interviewed for the selection.

Minimum score requirement: academic level 6.0
Test result is valid for 2 years only
Result must be valid at least until the first day of the application period
- TOEFL ► ets.org/toefl
Minimum score requirement: 550 paper-based test or 79-80 internet -based test
Test result is valid for 2 years only
Result must be valid at least until the first day of the application period
Results are accepted only if they are delivered directly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS). TAMK's TOEFL code is 0561.

Minimum score requirement: general test level 4 or Academic 51
- Cambridge ESOL ► cambridgeesol.org
Minimum requirement is Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) or Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) level C
- National Certificate of Language Proficiency ► oph.fi
Minimum requirement is skills level 4 in English in all parts (oral skills, reading comprehension and writing)
- Upper secondary level school education in English completed in:
- Great Britain
- Ireland
- United States
- Canada
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed in English in one of the following (qualifications completed outside these countries will not be accepted):
- Countries in European Union or European Economic Area
- Great Britain
- Ireland
- United Stated
- Canada
- Australia
- New Zealand
Note that only the abovementioned English language qualifications will be considered. Other qualifications will not be considered under any circumstances.
