Career Services

Career and recruiting services support the students' employment and career planning. They operate in the RekryTampere network, which arranges business and employment events for students, especially those who are about to graduate. The events offer the students the opportunity to increase their business skills and to make direct contacts with employers.

Career and recruiting services also provide practical training placements and jobs for TAMK students and graduates. For job recruitment, the services of the national employment and data service Jobstep.net are used. Students may display their skills to employers by submitting a CV to the Jobstep system and browsing job advertisements which have been posted to the system.

The Jobstep-sote system specialises in jobs in the fields of health and social services.  The system can also be used to find clinical training placements for students on the Health Care and Social Services degree programmes.

Career and recruiting services participate a WorkPlace Pirkanmaa project, the aim on which is to strengthen contacts between employers, international students and higher education institutes in the Tampere Region. The idea is to develop new services for employers to make international recruitment in the region easier, and to offer international students better access to working life.

Career and recruiting services keep track of how TAMK graduates find employment after graduation by conducting a regular career survey. The career survey is sent to each student five years after their graduation.
